چکیده
Purpose: The study aimed to evaluate HCV infection rates are widespread in hemodialysis patients and identify any potential risk factors this cohort. Methods: Hepatitis C virus statistical information was collected from the publicly accessible Karbala province/ Iraq. Results: All told, 236 dialysis patients, 150 (63.6%) male 86 (36.4%) female, they between ages of 15 78 (44.39 + 15.06 S.D.) years. Sampling lasted May October 2019-2021. Each HD treatment required three four hours, depending on their haemodialysis facility, were divided into two shifts for each or weekly dialyses. Dialysis membranes single-use, disposable devices. Conclusions: indicated that is prevalent centers comparatively high also demonstrated greatest factor developing seems be duration time undergoing therapy, which raises possibility nosocomial transmission.

Prevalence and characterization of hepatitis C virus in hemodialysis patients.
OBJECT Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is common in hemodialysis (HD) patients. In the present study, the prevalence and properties of HCV in HD patients were analyzed. METHODS AND RESULTS Of 125 HD patients, 34 (27%) were positive for antibody to HCV, and HCV-RNA was detected in 23 (68%) of the 34 patients using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. The HCV-RNA sequence ...
متن کاملPrevalence of hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and HIV infection among hemodialysis patients in Jenin District (Palestine)
Background and Aims: End-stage renal disease patients treated by hemodialysis (HD) are more susceptible for infection by viral hepatitis and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections. Infection by these viruses is promoted by the characteristic immunological dysfunction that develops in renal failure and interferes with the patient's ability to eliminate these viruses. Prevalence of these v...

متن کاملPrevalence of Hepatitis G Virus Among Hemodialysis and Kidney Transplant Patients in Khuzestan Province, Iran
BACKGROUND Hepatitis G virus (HGV) is a member of Flaviviridae. Prevalence of HGV in healthy people is very low, but this virus is more prevalent in patients with hepatitis. Besides, relative frequency of HGV in patients undergoing hemodialysis, and kidney recipients is very high. The role of HGV in pathogenesis is not clear. Since this virus cannot be cultivated, molecular techniques such as R...
